Listening to "Invisible Differences" in the Workplace
In light of so many return to office and hybrid policies, we wanted to understand the experience of employees with invisible differences (like neurodiversity or disabilities). The goal of this research was to increase awareness, improve accommodation and create safer spaces for self-advocacy.
Ultimately, in a 7 week project, interviewing employees and subject matter experts informed a DE&I workshop we conducted internally. Intended as a tool that could be used to assess inclusivity across studios the workshop kit included a readout and ideation activity that would generate empathetic ideas for more inclusive workplace practices, that could be prioritized into quick wins, long-term initiatives and aspirational visions.
